My name is Shehab. I’m a senior software engineer with 7+ years of experience building B2B SaaS products.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working on a variety of projects with unique challenges and growth opportunities, honing not only my technical skills but also my product thinking and leadership skills.

I currently work at Proofpoint, where I help scale Tessian’s security products — Adaptive Email DLP and Core Email Protection — following Proofpoint’s acquisition.

Before, I worked at Faculty AI (acquired by Accenture) where I was part of the team that built an AI product called Frontier. Before that, I worked at Dell as a backend engineer in Live Optics product team, and then a full-stack engineer in the R&D team reporting to Dell’s CTO.

My focus areas are backend engineering and distributed systems.

I'm based in London, originally from Cairo, Egypt. I have a M.Sc. in Computer Science and B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from The American University in Cairo.
