My name is Shehab. I’m a skilled software engineer with 6+ YOE in building B2B SaaS products.

Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of working on a variety of projects with unique challenges and growth opportunities, honing not only my technical skills but also my product thinking and leadership skills.

I currently work at Proofpoint as a Senior Software Engineer where I play a role in scaling Tessian’s security product following Proofpoint's acquistion. Previously, I worked at Faculty AI where I was part of the team that built a new decision intelligence product called Frontier. Before that, I worked at Dell as a backend engineer in Live Optics product development team, and later joined a new R&D team as a full-stack engineer reporting to Dell’s CTO.

My main interests are backend engineering and distributed systems. I’ve also worked across multiple technology stacks including Python, Rust, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, GCP, Grafana, Prometheus, Kubernetes, GitLab CI, CircleCI, and Terraform.

I’m currently based in London, originally from Cairo Egypt, where I received my M.Sc. in Computer Science and B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from The American University in Cairo.
